About Caring Caps

Caring Caps, or Citizens Answer Real Issues Now Giving Care and Personal Security, is a project created with the aim of increasing community education and care about homelessness and poverty, as well as highlighting one course of action to address these issues. Our community collects food, clothing, toys,and many other items through a program entitled Operation Happiness around the winter holidays. It is a wonderful gift to the families who benefit from it, and is greatly appreciated by them. However, there is a lack of homemade items for this cause. The difference felt when someone receives something that has had time and love put into a gift is drastic and extremely heart-warming. My goal is for more people in need to experience the joy just described, and to raise the knowledge of what homeless and impoverished people go through on local, state, and national level.
